AGATHA Paris proudly supports the French Film Festival 2013 - The best of French movies and cinema

AGATHA Paris, supporting sponsor of the French Film Festival for a second year

The best French movies and cinema!

AGATHA Paris is a proud supporting sponsor of the the French Film Festival 2012

Proudly sponsored by our friends L’Oréal Paris, and AGATHA Paris as a supporting sponsor, the Alliance Française French Film Festival is the prime French cultural event and one of the largest film festivals in New Zealand. After successfully tripling attendance figures in 2012, the festival is looking forward to further growth in 2013.

The festival returns to eleven cities nationwide from 21 February to 24 April 2013, offering a comprehensive programme of French cinema at its best. The ambitious film selection presents a mix of hard-hitting drama and comedy, alongside spectacular animations and a special category introducing French-language films from countries other than France, such as Switzerland, Canada and Belgium. The full film selection is available by clicking here.

The AGATHA Paris team were at for the festival opening in Auckland to see the movie - Haute Cuisine, Les Saveurs du Palais de Christian Vincent.

A delightful little movie with a beautful story and lots of yummy French food! It stars Catherine Frot, who plays Hortense Laborie (or Countess du Barry - but you have to watch the film to get that reference!) and it is based on the extraordinary true story of President François Mitterrand’s private cook, Danièle Delpeuch.

Here is the trailer:

Our picks for the festival are:

"Haute Cuisine", "Astérix and Obélix: In Britain" (we grew up with these comics!) and anything from the LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE category.

Check out the full film selection, the movies are all French, with english subtitles.

While you are there - BE IN TO WIN when you register on the festival website, including AGATHA Paris jewellery from the AGATHA Paris Collection, including a necklace, earrings and one of our famous AGATHA Paris Scottie dog hair clips!
